There are two types of Vendor’s Licenses; Peddlers/Hawkers and Solicitors/Canvassers. Borough Ordinance 10:3 will help you determine which type of license you should apply for.

Vendor’s Licenses should be applied for at least 6 weeks in advance. All applications are subject to a background check conducted by the Avalon Police Department.

Click on the link for Vendor’s Application and send it in with photo copies of your current vehicle registration, insurance, driver’s licenses and veteran status, if applicable. You will be contacted when it is approved and the fee will be due at that time.
