Free parking! Did you know Avalon is the only beach resort in Cape May County where you will find zero parking meters, and no paid parking lots? Avalon offers thousands of free, convenient parking spaces in our beach blocks! Be sure to take advantage of our huge, free parking lot at the 30th Street beach, right next to the Avalon Community Hall!

Free beach concerts! The "2010 Avalon Summer Concert Series" features live music at the 30th Street beach every Saturday and Sunday from Noon-3:00pm. Enjoy various styles of music, including pop, reggae, classic rock, tropical, oldies, and more! Bring a beach chair and take in free concerts from June 26th-September 5th! These beach concerts are co-sponsored by the Avalon Free Public Library.

Free concerts at Veterans Plaza! Bring your family to 21st and Dune Drive every Friday night this summer for more free concerts, part of the "2010 Avalon Summer Concert Series". Fridays at 7:00pm, you'll enjoy great bands, and vocalists too. One highlight of Avalon's Veterans Plaza concerts will be a performance on July 30th featuring the Atlantic Brass Band! These concerts are co-sponsored by the Avalon Free Public Library.

Free beach movies! Your family will love Avalon's Big Beach Movies, under the starts, every Tuesday at 8:30pm this summer. Bring a beach chair or blanket to the 30th Street beach and enjoy fantastic family entertainment. Some of this summer's Big Beach Movies include "Monsters vs. Aliens", "Transformers-Revenge of the Fallen", "Astroboy", and more! The 2010 Big Beach Movies are co-sponsored by the Avalon Free Public Library.

Avalon 2010 Family Fun Festival! This 2010 festival is bigger and better than ever with music, fireworks, concerts, field races, and more. The 2010 Family Fun Festival begins on July 1st with the Avalon String Band Mummers Parade and Concert, at 6:00pm. Music continues at Veterans Plaza and at the beach. And be sure you have your eyes to the sky on Sunday, July 4th, at 9:00pm for the most spectacular fireworks event in South Jersey at the 30th Street beach!

Bay Atlantic Symphony concerts! Avalon is once again the summer home of the Bay Atlantic Symphony. Concerts will be presented in Avalon this summer and this year, there's something very special: A July 4th patriotic concert inside the Avalon Community Hall! Come see the symphony perform live, and then go outside to see the amazing fireworks display. A taste of culture and world-class music with the Bay Atlantic Symphony in Avalon!

Mini Events for children! The Avalon Free Public Library presents free events for your children every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer! All events take place at the Avalon Elementary School Gymnasium at 11:00am, both days. Children will enjoy magic shows, singers, along with other entertainment. The Summer 2010 Mini Events are presented by the Avalon Free Public Library and by the Avalon Performing Arts Council.
